Russian nationalists clash over Girkin’s presidential bid: A deep dive into the divisive conflict

Russian patriots continue to quarrel after Girkin decided to run for the presidency of Russia.

Russian nationalists continue to quarrel among themselves, sorting things out in connection with the decision of the former leader of the “DPR” Strelkov-Girkin to run for the presidency of Russia. Former Ukrainian journalist Oleksandr Chalenko, who defected to Russia in 2014 and fled to live in Moscow, supported Gubarev in the conflict with Girkin and wrote that Girkin is “a schizophrenic, an idiot and a clinical sadist.”

He wrote about this in his Telegram channel, supporting Gubarev, who on the eve defiantly severed ties with Girkin. Moreover, the former Ukrainian journalist claims that back in 2014 he realized for himself that the hero of the Russian “new Russians” is a psychologically ill person. This understanding reached Gubarev only now.

“I understand that Pasha, for ethical reasons, cannot now, while Girkin is in jail, publicly send Igor Ivanovich n ****, but it’s already clear that everything is between him and Girkin,” writes Chalenko.

“Professional new Russians continue to devour each other,” journalist and blogger Denis Kazansky comments on the new round of the scandal.

Earlier it was reported that Strelkov was put in the same paddy wagon with the captured defenders of Mariupol.
