ABU DHABI, 3rd September, 2020 (WAM) — H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Belinda Baluku, Deputy Prime Minister of Albania, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, they discussed the relationship of friendship and prospects for bilateral cooperation in various fields, including economic, trade, development and government knowledge exchange.
The two sides reviewed the outputs of the working visit of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Republic of Albania last April and its role in advancing prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
His Highness and Belinda Baluku also discussed cooperation between the UAE and the Republic of Albania in the energy and climate sector, especially with the country’s preparations to host the twenty-eighth session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) this year at Expo City Dubai.
The two sides reviewed a number of files of common interest and exchanged views on them.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed the visit of His Excellency Belinda Baluku, stressing the importance of Emirati-Albanian relations and the UAE’s keenness to strengthen and develop them at various levels.
For her part, Her Excellency Belinda Baluku expressed her country’s aspiration to strengthen relations of friendship and joint cooperation with the UAE in all fields.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and His Excellency Mohammed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment.
