He Music to Breathe International Festival The main attraction will be the premiere of “Matilde: En las ojeras de la noche”, an opera dedicated to the life of the Bolivian singer-songwriter Matilde Casazola. The composer Cergio Prudencio, who worked on the musical creation of the work, assures that it is not an autobiographical proposal, since it focuses more on Mati, a character inspired by the poetry of Casazola.
Likewise, Magela Boudin, who was one of the six Bolivian writers who made up the team of librettists for the opera, commented that this production is more similar to a conversation with the poetry of Matilde Casazola, since they consider her work as part of Bolivianness.
