Preparations for the New School Year at Guebwiller High Schools: What to Expect

If apparently calm reigned this week around the Guebwiller high schools, behind the scenes, the staff was in turmoil. Time for the final touches before the start of the school year, in particular sacrosanct timetables.

■Théodore-Deck multipurpose high school. At Théodore-Deck, there will be, like last year, nearly 1,000 students divided into the general and technological streams (for three quarters of them), professional and at the level of higher education. Several new features mark this 2023-2024 vintage, including the creation of an additional class of 1^time general. “Many of our second year students are going down this path and we have had several external requests to integrate it. Our five classes were therefore no longer sufficient”, explains Frédéric Neher, headmaster.
