The modernized model of Tesla Model 3 has premiered at the IAAmobility car show in the German city of Munich.
During the facelift, the mid-range model received new front and rear lights, new bumpers, hood, fenders and rear cover, and the manufacturer’s logo is now replaced by block letters.
The length of Model 3 has increased to 4.72 m, the cabin has a new steering wheel with integrated turn signal switches, a new front panel with changeable background lighting, a multimedia device that works much faster, a wireless charging slot for two smartphones in the center console, and the rear passengers have their own touch screen for climate control or multimedia functions.
Newly designed wheels with 18 and 19 inch sizes, quieter tires, reworked suspension, front seats with a ventilation system, 17 speakers of the audio system, which can be ordered for more expensive packages, should be added.
The modernized Model 3 will be available on the European market in October, the price in Germany is 42,990 euros, the price in China, converted from yuan – 34,700 euros.
Technically, the electric car has not changed. The electric sedan is available in two trim levels: rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. In the first case, the power of the power plant is 264 hp and 340 Nm, in the second – 450 hp and 559 Nm.
The Performance model will appear later, but according to Tesla information, the furthest driving variant will now travel up to 678 km.
