Successor of the Küfergasse coworking has moved in: New location for “BlueBlox”

The Blueblox company opened its doors in Oberägeri in mid-August. New jobs and co-working are offered.

The Küfergasse coworking was opened in September 2021. As of this summer, a new wind is blowing with Blueblox.

The Küfergasse coworking in Oberägeri was closed in June. This is because the demand was not as desired. The international consulting company Blueblox has taken over the space as a new tenant. The company had previously often rented co-working space for workshops and now offers ten workspaces. After the two-month transformation phase, Blueblox (properly spelled: BlueBlox) celebrated the open house on August 19th.

Blueblox was founded in 2014 by Dorothy Diedericks. Originally from South Africa, the founder moved to Oberägeri in 2011. Blueblox says it helps break down trade barriers with Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Blueblox has its second headquarters in the city of Zug. The company offers a joint project for Oberägeri, the “Innovation Hub”. The company founder wants to offer jobs for mothers with flexible working hours and workloads. This includes activities such as office work, market research and administrative work. “I know how difficult it is to be a mom and run a business,” says the entrepreneur.

A co-working space will continue to be offered. The income from this and the parking lot belonging to the building will be donated to the Lutisbach youth center in Oberägeri, because Diedericks would like to offer additional local support. The Blueblox location in Oberägeri still has vacancies, according to Diedericks. Her goal is to continue to expand in the coming years and to open more locations in Switzerland.
