OVER
“At the beginning of the year, we promised that if it was at least somewhat possible, we would regularly reduce our price lists. This is the fourth time we have lowered prices this year. In mid-September, we will lower our one-year, two-year and three-year fixations,” announced the CEO of ČEZ Prodej Tomas Kadlec.
Customers who want to fix their electricity before the heating season can take advantage of the annual offer of 3,940 crowns per megawatt hour. For one year, the price will be about a fifth lower than the government ceiling.
Annual gas fixation will cost 1,850 crowns per megawatt hour. Prices do not include VAT. The company has not yet announced adjustments to multi-year fixations. He is to publish the new price lists on September 15.
E.ON
“I’m really glad that we were able to offer a second discount on gas to our existing customers this year. In addition, we lower the price even before the start of the heating season, when gas consumption increases significantly, and the discount will thus be more significantly reflected in clients’ invoices,” said the vice chairman of the board of directors of E .ON Energy Jan Zápotočný.
From September, a customer with normal gas consumption has to pay 1,918 crowns without VAT. Similar to ČEZ, gas prices will be about a quarter below the government ceiling.
This should concern approximately 140,000 clients. Compared to the present, their prices will drop by 16 percent, and compared to the government price ceiling, they will be lower by up to a quarter. The company is said to be considering reducing electricity prices in a matter of weeks. The company will approach clients with fixation with a new offer.
PRE
From September 1, the price of Prague Energy (PRE) also fell sharply. Electricity costs 3,950 crowns per megawatt hour without VAT, i.e. similar to ČEZ.
It also makes gas cheaper. Most customers will pay 1,740 crowns per megawatt hour without VAT. So also well below the government ceiling, which is 2,500 crowns. Customers can fix these prices until the end of 2024.
innogy
From October 1, a cheaper price list will also apply to innogy customers. “This year, we are making gas cheaper for the second time. We are fulfilling the promise we made to our customers during the year, and we are projecting the positive price effects from falling purchase prices on the European wholesale markets to our customers in their final prices for the commodity,” said retail director David Konvalina.
Households that cook with gas will pay 2,145 crowns per megawatt hour without VAT. Those that heat water, 2,075 crowns, in the case of heating, the price is 2,050 crowns. According to the company, the monthly costs of the average household will drop by almost 700 crowns.

Customers can fix the price of gas at 1,935 crowns per megawatt hour until June 2025. In the case of electricity, it is 4,592 crowns per megawatt hour. Unlike other companies, MND lists prices including VAT.
