TASS, 1 September. The French club Clermont rented Jamaican striker Shamar Nicholson from Spartak Moscow. This was reported by the press service of Spartak.
Nicholson will play for Clermont until the end of the current season. The contract provides for the right to buy.
Nicholson is 26 years old and has been playing for Spartak since January 2022. The striker has played 43 matches for the red-and-whites in all competitions, scoring 12 goals and giving 4 assists. This season, the football player has not played for Spartak. In the 2021/22 season, the striker, along with the team, won the Russian Cup. Nicholson’s agreement with Spartak is valid until June 30, 2026.
Clermont plays in the top division of the French championship. After three rounds, the team, without scoring points, takes the last, 18th place in the championship standings.
