Grand Street Subway Station in Brooklyn Redesigned for Accessibility and Unveils New Artwork

You may notice some changes the next time you’re at the Grand Street subway station in Brooklyn.

The station has been redesigned so that all customers have easy access to it.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority announced that this is the fourth fully accessible station to reopen this summer, providing facilities for people with physical disabilities, among others.

The agency plans to open at least twelve more accessible stations before the end of the year.

In addition to increasing accessibility, the station also unveiled its new artwork. The mosaic was created by Glendalys Medina, who was inspired by the colors of the neighborhood and designs representative of its residents.
