MILWAUKEE (TELEMUNDO WI) — The Milwaukee FBI released Thursday, Aug. 31, age photographs of a man wanted for his alleged role in the August 1970 bombing of the University of Wisconsin in Sterling Hall.

The explosion killed a 33-year-old researcher and four other people were seriously injured.

In September 1970, four men were accused of participating in the bombing, which was a protest against the Vietnam War. Three of them were arrested and convicted, but the fourth, Leo Frederick Burt, is still wanted by the FBI.

At its time, the Sterling Hall bombing was the most serious terrorist attack in the United States before Oklahoma City in 1995.

To mark the 53rd anniversary of the attack, the FBI has released new images created using age progression technology and an original photo of Leo Frederick Burt.

The FBI is offering $150,000 for information leading to the arrest of Leo Frederick Burt.

If you have any information regarding this case, you are urged to contact the FBI Milwaukee Field Office at 414-276-4684, or you can submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov, which may remain anonymous. .
