SHARJAH, September 1, 2020 / WAM / The Emirates Astronomy Society announced the start of the first fall seasons on September 6, under the name “Al-Safriya”, while “Al-Wasm” is the second and last season of the fall season.
The “zero” or “zero” extends between the end of the heat and the onset of winter, or between the approach of heat and the onset of cold.
Ibrahim Al Jarwan, President of the Emirates Astronomy Society and member of the Arab Federation for Astronomy and Space Sciences, said in a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that the designation of zero comes from zero and the beginning of counting because it is the first of the seasons, and the Arabs used to say to the first zero, yellow, or yellow, and it was said that it was called zero to start the season. Expression and travel of people from the records where the homes are whistling or empty, and this is due to their going out towards the desert and following the rain and the floods.
He added that the zero or zero season is autumn, and the zero season comes with the rise of the three lunar houses after the rise of Suhail, which are “Al-Jabha, Al-Zubra, and Al-Sarfa” and its date is from September 6 until next October 15, followed by the “marking” season. fish at the end of October.
Al-Jarwan said that the people of Al-Durour Account count the first hundred of the “Al-Durour Account” from Safriya or (Safiri), which begins with the rise of Suhail, and all of them are from Safari “ten zeros, twenty zeros, thirty zeros” until the end of the first hundred or one hundred zeros at the end of November.
With the entry of zero, the high humidity intensifies, and fog and dew form at the end of the night and in the morning, and moist southerly winds flow that reduce the intensity of the heat, and also work on the activity of cumulus cloud formations that affect areas around the Hajar mountain range that extends for a length of more than 500 km in the Emirates and Oman. Cumulus cloud formations are also active, affecting the Sarawat Mountains, which extend for a length of more than 1,500 km from southern Yemen to northern Hijaz in Saudi Arabia.
He explained that these cumulus formations of clouds cause local storms and strong downward winds, accompanied by heavy thunderstorms accompanied by hail at times, and the flowing moisture creates low clouds along the eastern slopes of the Hajar Mountains in Oman and the UAE, which may be accompanied by a “spray” precipitation known as the Kous clouds.
During Safariyah and in the period from the rising of Suhail until the autumnal equinox on September 23, the heat saturated with high humidity intensifies, and the Arabs call these stressful and exhausting atmospheres in that period “Wakat Suhail” or “Akat Suhail” or “Exhales of Suhail”, and they are also called Among the farmers in the Gulf is “Harrat Al Dibs” where the molasses is liquefied from the dates, the dates are collected and stored and the molasses is made.
It is also called “Harat al-Masatih” because it is the last time for drying dates and fruits on the flats before the heat necessary for the success of drying subsides. The “mustah” is a place where wet dates are dried into dates or other fruits, such as figs and lemons.
Al-Jarwan explained that Al-Safriya is witnessing a decrease in sea temperatures, as most fish return in large quantities to approach the coasts after the weather is mild, and they had moved away from them during the summer, fleeing to the cold depths, away from the high temperatures during the heat, and the fishermen also return to the sea to fish after their reluctance to do so. During the summer, due to the high temperatures and the low harvest of fish in the hot season, which leads to the recovery of fish markets in various regions of the country.
Previously, the date of the “lock-up” season in the Persian Gulf in Safriya was in mid-September, which was the return of pearl diving ships to the home, and the end of the great diving season.
The first planting seasons begin and the autumn agricultural season begins, when the ground cools down and the soil retains the moisture of irrigation for a longer period and the offshoots and seedlings of various trees are transported, and the time comes for the harvest of many varieties of palm trees.
All types of seeds are sown in shelters that are protected from the hot sun and dry winds. With the beginning of October, the seedlings are transferred to the permanent land.
