The British rock band Dire Straits, including lead singer Mark Knofler and his brother David Knopfler, broke through in 1978 with the world hit “Sultans of Swing”. Jack Sonni joined the band in 1984, taking over the role of guitarist from Hal Linden.
Sonni can be heard on the record “Brothers in Arms”, Dire Straits’ best-selling album with the biggest hit “Money for nothing”.
