Free Pokémon Film Screenings at Cineteca Alameda in San Luis Potosí

The Ministry of Culture of San Luis Potosí announced that next Sunday, September 3, two films from the world of Pokémon will be screened for free, for fans of the animated series, at the Cineteca Alameda.

As part of the strategies to socialize culture and unify family ties, at no cost and for all ages, the people of San Luis Potosí will be able to enjoy from the seats of the Cineteca Alameda the films: Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1998 ) and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019).

These two feature films, requested by moviegoers and anime fans from the 90s, will be screened at two times, one at 12:00 noon and one at 2:00 p.m. Derived from the fact that a large influx is estimated at the so-called “Casa del Cine Potosino”, it is recommended to arrive at the Cineteca Alameda in advance to gain access to the room.

According to the synopsis, Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back (1998), covers the story about “a group of scientists who have been working in a secret laboratory, trying to create the strongest Pokémon that exists. To do this, they have taken DNA from a fossilized hair sample of the legendary Pokémon Mew, using the elusive creature’s genetic code to create Mewtwo through bioengineering.”

While Pokémon: Detective Pikachu (2019). focuses on “when the great private detective Harry Goodman mysteriously disappears; Tim, his 21-year-old son, must find out what happened. He is aided in the investigation by Harry’s former Pokémon partner, Detective Pikachu: a lovable and witty super-sleuth who amazes even himself.”
