The Ministry of Education (Meduca) began the online enrollment process for the 2024 school year, although the second quarter of the 2023 school year has not yet ended.
The procedure that began to be applied in the pandemic is done with students of different grades, except those who are going to enter for the first time, according to the Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, enrollment remains constant and is coordinated with regional directors to know the places where attendance has decreased or students who do not report grades.
“We have strategies to return these students and make all the adaptations flexible, as was done in 2020 and 2021 in the midst of the pandemic, and guarantee that containment. To prevent young people, due to other people’s situations, from retiring, ”he said.
In support of this decision, Gorday de Villalobos affirmed that a project of flexible modalities will be presented to the Cabinet Council. For this, a lot of verification has been done and it implies making official what could be done in the pandemic, distance education, semi-distance education and virtual teaching mechanisms to leave it officially installed in the official and private sector.
