On Tuesday evening, the joint forces in the Yemeni western coast announced the seizure of a terrorist cell affiliated with the Houthi militia, as it tried to plant explosive devices in the main asphalt line linking the districts of Al-Barah and Al-Waziyah, west of Taiz Governorate.
In the details, the military media of the joint forces stated, in a statement, that the units stationed in the joint forces in the Al-Barah axis had received information from the General Intelligence Division of the National Resistance, about the preparation of the so-called “harmful operations” unit in engineering the fourth area of the Houthi militia for a terrorist operation.
The statement indicated that a unit of the joint forces in the Al-Barh axis ambushed the elements of the terrorist cell, who were in possession of three explosive devices camouflaged in the form of stones and personal weapons, and clashed with them as they approached the area of their stationing, according to Al-Arabiya.net.
He added that the operation resulted in the capture of two of its members: Aws Ali Saleh Al-Falahi, the alias (Abu Raed), and Ali Abdo Musaad Al-Falahi, the alias (Abu Hamza).
The military media pointed out that cell phones, maps and video clips documenting a number of terrorist operations it carried out in a number of liberated areas in Taiz governorate were found in their possession. According to the military media, the initial investigations with the Houthi elements showed that they were assigned to infiltrate to plant three explosive devices in the asphalt line linking Al-Barh and Al-Wazi’iya, and also revealed that the cell is behind a number of terrorist operations that targeted military crews and citizens’ cars on the main roads in the liberated areas of Taiz Governorate and the western coast. Among them (Al-Kadha, Maqbana, Jabal Habashi, Al-Tuwair, and Al-Ahkom), and that its members received a number of specialized courses in planting explosive devices. The military media of the joint forces stated that it will publish the details of the operation and the prisoners’ confessions after completing the investigation with them and collecting information from the seizures that were in their possession.
