This is how the groups for the Champions League draw remain
After the last qualifying round prior to the group stage of the Champions League, Barça, Real Madrid, Atlético, Real Sociedad and Sevilla already know who their possible rivals will be for the draw.
This Thursday, August 31, the draw for the 2023/24 group stage of the UEFA Champions League will be held. The event will take place in Nyon (Switzerland) at 5:30 p.m. FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético, Real Sociedad and Sevilla will be the Spanish present in the maximum continental competition this year.
For the third consecutive course, LaLiga will have five representatives. In the first hype will be Barça and the Andalusians, as champions of the domestic tournament and the Europa League, respectively. The most difficult rivals that can be found will come from England (Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle), Germany (Dortmund) and Italy (Inter, Milan).
Due to their coefficients, the two clubs from the Spanish capital will start from the second drum. In their case, they will be threatened by any of the seeded teams, although they are superior to Benfica and Feyenoord.
Finally, given their limited experience in the competition, and after the results of the previous one, Real Sociedad has been framed in the fourth pot. Imanol Alguacil’s boys will cross their fingers so they don’t get too tough opponents and will work to play a role that gives them options to go to the round of 16.
