Divisional commissioner Franck Hemery, 53, was officially installed on Wednesday August 30 as departmental director of public security (DDSP) of Maine-et-Loire. He replaces Comptroller General Jean Hayet, who has become DDSP de la Loire. Franck Hemery is also the forerunner of the interdepartmental direction of the national police (DIPN) which will be effective in 2024, combining under a single direction public security and the judicial police, i.e. 675 police officers in the department.
