Billie Eilish gave an intimate performance in a small venue in London on Tuesday evening that did not go without problems. The singer wants to do more of these shows, but had to stop this performance several times because the audience was under pressure.
The singer, who easily fills the largest arenas and festival fields, expressed the desire to tour small venues on stage, reports NME. Although she finds these kinds of performances scary, a concert series is being worked on, she said.
She already stopped the performance in London for fifteen hundred people during the third song. She watched as fans became engulfed and gasping for breath. So she enlisted the help of security guards.
She asked for water for the fans. “Where are the security guards anyway?” she wondered when there was no response. “Am I the security myself?”
Eilish then paused the show a few more times. “This gives me panic attacks,” she said. “I feel like a babysitter,” said the American, after she had to warn the public not to crowd for the second time in a short time.
Eilish played on the main stage of the Dutch festival Lowlands earlier this month. Last year she gave a concert in the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam.
