TCL’s New NXTPAPER Smartphones (PhoneArena)

Ahead of the IFA 2023 conference, TCL announced what appears to be the world’s first smartphones with paper-like screens, named TCL 40 NXTPAPER and TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G.
The company’s new NXTPAPER smartphones are devices certified by TUV (German Technical Inspection Authority) for Low Harmful Blue Light, which makes them very pleasing to avid readers thanks to the comfortable, paper-like viewing experience in full color.. not to mention the lack of any compromises in terms of the colors displayed. , where NXTPAPER technology preserves the original color balance.
In addition, both TCL smartphones provide anti-glare functionality by producing a paper-like matte texture, and just as important is the fact that TCL NXTPAPER phones are resistant to fingerprint smudges.
TCL also revealed that the full-color e-screen comes with a specially designed NXTPAPER UI, which provides users with a choice between a full-color manga experience or a black-and-white experience.
In terms of hardware, the phones differ a lot.. For example, the TCL 40 NXTPAPER features a large 6.78-inch screen with FHD + resolution, unlike the TCL 40 NXTPAPER 5G, which comes with a smaller 6.6-inch screen with HD + resolution.
The first phone also includes a 50 MP triple camera (50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP) and a 32 MP front camera, while the second includes a triple camera (50 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP) and an 8 MP secondary camera.
Both phones are powered by a 5,000mAh battery, but the 4G model supports 33W wired charging, while the 5G version only supports 15W charging.
Regarding the price, the company announced that the 4G model of the TCL 40 NXTPAPER will be available in September for 200 euros ($218), while the 5G version will be launched in October for 250 euros ($272), and availability has been confirmed. These phones are only in Europe at the moment iPhone Arena.
