Asia-based Companies Choose Frankfurt as International Location for Expansion

In the first quarters of this year, four companies from Asia – representatives from the chemical, robotics, food industry and service sectors – settled in Frankfurt. According to the Frankfurt Economic Development Agency, which reportedly accompanied the settlements, this is proof that “Frankfurt is still very attractive as an international location and enjoys a high reputation in the Asian corporate landscape”. The four companies started their work in Frankfurt with a share capital of more than two million euros and 130 jobs. Further growth at the site is planned.

The new companies include ABS Commerce & Industrial GmbH, a subsidiary of Angel Yeast Co. Ltd, which is listed on the Shanghai stock exchange and is the world’s leading yeast manufacturer. According to the German Managing Director Eric Ao, the company also had the cities of Hamburg, Zurich and Amsterdam in mind as possible locations. The decision ultimately went in favor of Frankfurt, “because an excellent geographical location, a good investment environment and great market and development potential come together here”.
