A fire caused significant disruptions to rush-hour traffic in the Rhine-Main area on Tuesday morning. All bans are now lifted.
Update from Tuesday, August 29, 3:40 p.m.: After the fire in a truck trailer that had loaded a 25-tonne bridge element, the A67 near Raunheim was completely closed to traffic. In the meantime, the bridge element has been removed and the burnt-out trailer has been removed by the road maintenance department, according to the police.
All lanes are now free again and traffic in the direction of Darmstadt can flow in a controlled manner again.
