Steisslingen. This year’s open-air cinema at Lake Steißling will take place next Friday, September 1st, and Saturday, September 2nd. The premiere is: This year, the people of Steißlingen decided which films will be shown here. Admission on both evenings is at 7.30 p.m. in the seaside resort, the film should then start at 8.30 p.m. In bad weather, which is less likely, the films are shown in the Seeblickhalle and the starry sky is only visible through the windows.
On Friday, “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” will be screened for the younger audience. The story: The plumber Mario and his brother Luigi are drawn into a mysterious tube and end up in the magical kingdom of mushrooms. The country is ruled by Princess Peach, but the evil King Bowser threatens the kingdom with his Koopa army and wants to destroy it. When he is separated from Luigi, Mario and the somewhat clumsy mushroom Toad not only have to fight Bowser, but also find his missing brother. Following the live-action Super Mario Bros. movie from 1993, Illumination Entertainment is bringing the first animated film about the most iconic of Nintendo heroes to cinemas.
On Saturday there will be “Simply something beautiful” for the more mature audience – a film by Karoline Herfurth, with Karoline Herfurth! The story: Radio presenter Karla’s biological clock is ticking loud and clear and she longs for a child. Without a permanent partner and with little luck in dating, Karla decides to get pregnant shortly before her 40th birthday and finds out about artificial insemination. Her family is not very enthusiastic about the project, and when Karla also falls in love with Ole, who is much too young, she is forced to reconsider her plans for the future.
