Il Galatasaray Of Mauro Icardi fly to the groups of Champions League. After the 3-2 draw in Norway, the Turks also won the second leg of the playoffs: 2-1 at Molde with Icardi scoring from a penalty in the 7th minute. Same outcome in Greece: the Braga he prevailed also in Greece after the 2-1 in Portugal and beat Panathinaikos 1-0 thanks to Bruma (83′). It also joins it Young Boys: after the 0-0 draw in the first leg in Israel, it’s 3-0 at Maccabi Haifa.

GALATASARAY-MOLDE 2-1 (tot. 5-3)

Mauro Icardi’s Galatasaray will also be in the Champions League groups: the Turks also win the second leg 2-1, not without suffering, and enter the main phase, eliminating Molde. The former Inter immediately released from a penalty in the 7th minute and seemed to direct the match, but the Norwegians responded with Hestad, who forced Muslera to make a save. In the second half, Hestad himself frightened the hosts by signing the equalizer with an assist from Breivik in the 66th minute. And in the end the goal would also arrive that would send the match into extra time, but Berisha was clearly offside and the goal was disallowed. Fear passes then in the 93rd minute thanks to a free-kick deflected by Angelino: 2-1 and the group stage of the Champions League won by Galatasaray, which will be one of the most difficult teams for the Italians and not only among those arriving from the preliminaries.

PANATHINAIKOS-SPORTING BRAGA 0-1 (Tot. 1-3)

Like Galatasaray, Braga also made two from two and after the first leg at home they prevailed 1-0 in Greece at Panathinaikos. And if the Greeks remain in the game for most of the match they have to thank Alberto Brignoli: the former Benevento, in the first half, makes a double save on Ruiz first and then Horta at the stroke of the half hour of play. Then, in the added time, Vagiannidis hits with his header, coming close to scoring but finding the opposition of Matheus Magalhaes, who was also good at the start of the second half on Palacios. In the 83rd minute, however, here is the goal that closes the qualifying speech: Bruma scores it, which extinguishes the Greeks’ dreams of glory. Furthermore, the hosts remain ten at the start of recovery for the second yellow card for Juankar: they will have to settle for the Europa League. Sporting Braga, on the other hand, accesses the main door of the Champions League.

YOUNG BOYS-MACCABI HAIFA 3-0 (Tot. 3-0)

The most uncertain double confrontation after the first 90 minutes is resolved in just over halfway through the match: Young Boys overwhelms Maccabi Haifa 3-0 and, without conceding a goal, access the Champions League group stage. The terrible one-two signed between 23′ and 28′ was decisive: first Hitten gave the Swiss the lead, then Seck’s own goal propitiated by Elia (also author of the 1-0 assist), directed the game. On the other hand, Urginic closed it, who made it 3-0 in the first minute of the second half, thwarting the comeback attempts of the Israelis. At the final whistle, it’s celebrations in Bern: the Young Boys will be in the urn for the Champions League draw scheduled for Thursday 31 August at 18:00 in Montecarlo.
