The United States on Tuesday announced another $250 million military aid package for Ukraine, which includes ammunition, equipment, parts and training.

The new package includes AIM-9M air defense missiles, HIMARS rounds, 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, mine clearance equipment, Javelins and other anti-tank systems and missiles.
Also mentioned in Blinken’s statement are more than three million small arms ammunition, ambulances, demolition munitions to remove obstacles, as well as spare parts, service funding, training and transportation.
The US Secretary of State does not specify, but it is likely that the new aid package will be provided through the Presidential Drawdown Authority mechanism – that is, from the stocks of the American army, which will speed up its delivery to Ukraine.
Last $200 million relief packageannounced by the US on August 14 included air defense munitions, artillery shells, anti-tank weapons and mine-clearing equipment.
The total amount of US military assistance to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion in February 2022 is about $44 billion.
