Tatar evaluated the 14-point rapprochement package “Full of Traps”

Tatar spoke as follows regarding the 14-item package prepared by Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides to present to Turkish Cypriots:

“It is his own assessment. Cyprus has some realities. There may be personal initiatives. We’ve seen some relationships over time. We saw that some of our people lived there and started companies. We are working for the TRNC to find the place it deserves in time as an authority. These recommendations do not concern the TRNC. It is a process full of traps that tries to attract people to the Republic of Cyprus so that personal interests can be met. There is an approach that says the northern state cannot do it, you need me. We cannot respect this approach.”
