Singer MC Pipokinha was denounced for allegedly abusive behavior towards the team. In videos published on social networks this Saturday, 26, Jonas Kaik and Wesley Ferreira, former funkeira dancers, criticized the artist’s attitudes and published audios of lines that they would have heard from Pipokinha during the period in which they worked with her.
The two also announced their departure from the team, and stated that the decision was not made amicably. “It is with immense peace that we came to announce our departure from the MC Pipokinha team. We know that many of you go to the shows to honor us and, out of respect for you, we came to give you that satisfaction”, they wrote in a publication.
In a statement, divided into two parts, Jonas and Wesley told about occasions when Pipokinha would have cursed and treated the team with disdain. According to the dancers, the two feel “grateful” for the space they gained to work with the artist, but said that “the psychological (sic) couldn’t take it anymore”.
“Nobody knows what goes on behind the scenes,” Wesley commented. “We weren’t going to pronounce it that way, […] only that she herself forced a situation that I didn’t think was cool”, said Jonas, without mentioning what would have made the two make the decision.
According to them, Pipokinha would have already referred to the team as “b***” and “garbage”. “As a result of her attitude and the way she treated us, we had to leave [da equipe] in a hurried way,” Wesley said.
The dancers claimed that the artist’s fame “went to her head” and said that they consider her “false, hypocritical, ungrateful, ignorant and thick”. “She really doesn’t know how to work in a team,” argued Jonas.
After the repercussion of the videos, other former dancers from Pipokinha’s team also commented on the alleged abusive behavior. Singer and dancer MC Candy reported, in Instagram stories, problems he faced during the period in which he worked with the artist.
“It was one of the worst jobs I’ve ever done in my life. […] One of the worst people I could meet “, he said. Another dancer, who was also part of the singer’s team, MC Fadinha, also commented on the subject. “I really never imagined being treated the way I was treated “, he said .
O Estadão contacted MC Pipokinha’s press office asking for a position on the matter, but did not receive a response until the time of publication. The space remains open.
