AS Roma and Chelsea have reached an agreement about Red Devil Romelu Lukaku. According to transfer journalist Nicolò Schira, the transfer soap around Lukaku is finally coming to an end.

Chelsea and AS Roma have reached an agreement on a rental period. Lukaku’s rent is 5 million euros + bonuses. The salary that AS Roma will pay to Lukaku is 7.5 million euros per year + bonuses.

Lukaku lands in Rome on Tuesday. At the Romans, Lukaku will immediately do his medical tests and then sign his contract. At AS Roma, Lukaku is reunited with head coach Jose Mourinho. Lukaku and Mourinho previously worked together at Manchester United.

This transfer window has been very turbulent for Lukaku so far. The Red Devil was close to a longer stay at Internazionale, but that agreement fell through because he was also in talks with rival Juventus. Chelsea and Juventus ultimately did not come to an agreement and in between there was continued interest from Saudi Arabia.
