Budapest (Hungary): At the end of the World Athletics Championships, the medal list of U .S has left many other states far behind. These are 29 medals including 12 gold, eight silver and nine bronze. Tit. Canada, which is the second place, has only four gold and two silver medals.
Spain is third with four gold and one silver. Jamaica, Kenya and Britain have 10 or more medals. Due to being behind in achievement, it is in fourth, fifth and seventh position respectively. India is 18th with a gold.
The ‘Heroes Run- 2023 Budapest’ on Andrássy Avenue immediately after the marathon leg of the World Athletics Championships was notable.
The race was announced in two race distances: 2023 meters and 10 km, but due to the heat, the 10 km race was shortened to 5750 meters as a safety precaution.
More than 4,000 runners, including amateurs and experienced athletes, took part in the 5.7 km race. Ireland’s David McCarthy won the men’s race, followed by Germany’s Simon Stützel and Gaspar Sesser.
In the women’s category, Portugal’s Vanessa Carvalho topped America’s Casey Monoslay and Sweden’s Amy Thoren. Enico Lascu won the 2,023m race, while Spain’s García Alvaro Martinez secured victory in the men’s race.
