Information about the I/O dies of the Zen 5 generation Ryzen 8000 series desktop CPUs has surfaced.Reported by overseas media WCCF TECH.

Granite Ridge uses the same I/O dies (as the Ryzen 7000 series).
In other words, the Ryzen 8000 series desktop CPU has 2CU RDNA 2 iGPU, 28 PCIe 5.0 lanes, and the I/O part such as USB will be the same as the Ryzen 7000 series.
Reusing I/O dies won’t make much of a difference. This reuse would allow AMD to manufacture the Ryzen 8000 series with off-the-shelf I/O dies, which would also reduce costs.
Here is the roadmap released by AMD in June 2023.

The roadmap lists the Ryzen 8000 series as “Zen 5 + Navi 3.5 (RDNA 3.5)”, but according to Everest and Kepler, it will be RDNA 2 because it uses the same I/O dies as the Ryzen 7000 series. It has been.
Then, what does this Navi 3.5 part indicate? It probably refers to the desktop APU. In fact, the Ryzen 7000 series is also marked as “Zen 4 + Navi 3.0 (RDNA 3)”, but the iGPU of the desktop CPU is RDNA 2. (Though RDNA 3’s desktop APU is yet to arrive, too.)
Alternatively, at the bottom of the slide it says ‘Roadmaps, features and schedules are subject to change’, which may have changed.
The Ryzen 8000 series is expected to launch in 2024.
