On the evening of the 28th in Kagoshima City, a 73-year-old resident was arrested for setting fire to her apartment with a lighter.
Keiko Takahashi (73), an unemployed resident of Motomachi, Nishizaka, Kagoshima City, was arrested on suspicion of setting fire to a building she currently lives in.
According to the police, Takahashi is suspected of setting fire to the apartment where he lives at around 4 pm with a lighter and burning about 40 square meters of the room.
The apartment is a two-story wooden building, and five people other than Takahashi live there, but no one was injured.
At that time, Takahashi reportedly called 110, saying, “It’s a fire,” and admitted to the investigation.
