The well-known Japanese bag brand PORTER recently officially launched a new bag capsule series “OLDNEW”.
This series uses the centuries-old persimmon dyeing technique “Kakishibu”. Bag makers Seiji Omae and Shinya Mizutani soak the bags in unripe green persimmons and then expose them to the sun. Each bag is unique and features fade-resistant properties and a soft, durable feel. The series has a total of three styles: backpack, shoulder bag and messenger bag, and it is available in two colors: orange and charcoal.
PORTER’s new bag series “OLDNEW” can only be purchased in Japanese stores and the brand’s official website. Interested readers may wish to pay more attention.
