Again, a restaurant made a loss by irresponsible customers. A group of youths fled without paying for Rp. 6.1 million worth of food.
Irresponsible customers excite and worry food business owners. Several incidents of customers running away after eating have occurred in several different restaurants.
Not only was the food scanty but the expensive bills were left unattended. The effect is that many restaurant owners have to bear their losses.

Again, the incident of fleeing customers was repeated in Michigan, United States. A group of youths ended up being reported by the police after leaving a large food bill.

A restaurant owner of The Red Sea in Michigan, United States of America reported experiencing a loss on Arab American News (25/8). A group of youths who are known to be of Arab-American descent came as many as four people to order lots of seafood.
“They ate lobster, snow crab, shrimp, as many as four people. The food ordered was also very much,” said Suhail Mohammed as the owner of Red Sea.
The total price of the food ordered almost touched the figure of 400 US Dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 6.1 million. But after the food was finished none of the youths paid but they all just ran away.
Their movements were clearly recorded on the surveillance cameras in the restaurant. Seeing this, Suhail immediately reported it to the local police so that the four young men would be investigated immediately.

Exactly 30 minutes after the incident took place, police officers managed to find the family data of the children. One by one the parents immediately contacted the restaurant to apologize and even came to bring their children.
The parents of the four youths were directly responsible for settling the bills left behind. But Suhail still provides relief by giving discounts to his parents, considering that his customers are still young.
“Still they are just kids and I see them imagining my kids doing something like that. I gave them half price because they want to come back and admit mistakes,” explained Suhail.
Even though he provided relief, Suhail also regretted the irresponsible actions carried out by such persons. He hoped that there would be no other similar incident either at his restaurant or elsewhere.
