After four to six months of breast milk and baby milk formula, it’s time for “B(r)eikost”. The participants will find out when babies are ready for it, what is on the spoon and what else is important in an online lecture on Wednesday, September 20 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The BeKi consultant Barbara Braun will of course also answer all questions on the subject. Registration for the online seminar is possible until September 13 at the address www.forum-ebb.de at the events.
In addition, in cooperation with the organic model region of Freiburg and the agricultural training center in Hochburg, the forum is offering a thanksgiving campaign in September.
This includes a guided tour of the Adler Mühle in Bahlingen. On Thursday, September 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the participants will learn how the technology of a water-powered mill works. The complex grinding process of a modern mill is shown, from the grinding of regional grain to the various types of flour, through bottling to sale. Afterwards you can enjoy the wide range of products in the sales room. The participation fee for the guided tour is ten euros.
A baking workshop will then follow on September 26 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the agricultural training center in Emmendingen Hochburg. The basic knowledge of baking bread with yeast is taught here. Baguette, farmhouse bread and sweet pretzels are baked together and taken home at the end. While the bread rises, foccacia, spicy yeast buns and spelled baguettes are tasted in a relaxed atmosphere. The participation fee for the baking workshop is 15 euros.
