Daniel Ramey, president of the Paris hiking committee, plans that morning 8 km of walking out of the 50 that make up the GR. It encircles Paris and runs from the Geode to the Palais des Congrès, passing by much older monuments, such as the Church of Charonne.
The highlights of Olympic Paris
Daniel Boselli, resident of Yvelines, discovers it for the first time. “It’s weird to find yourself in Paris with monuments that date from the 11th century”, he said.
