Two Separate Shootings in New Orleans Leave Three Dead
New Orleans, LA – The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) is currently investigating two separate shootings that occurred just minutes apart on Sunday evening, August 27th.
The first incident took place in the 12000 block of I-10 Service Road. Initial reports from the NOPD came in at approximately 5:41 p.m., and confirmations followed at 6:37 p.m. Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. The victims have been identified as a 15-year-old and an 11-year-old. Tragically, the 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after the first shooting, police responded to another incident in the 2600 block of Poydras Street. Reports indicate that police received word of the shooting at 5:58 p.m., and it was confirmed at 6:17 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Unfortunately, one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both investigations are currently active and ongoing. The NOPD has not released any further details regarding the shootings at this time.

Initial reports from the NOPD came in at approximately 5:41 p.m., and confirmations followed at 6:37 p.m. Upon arriving at the scene, the police were met with a heartbreaking sight – two victims, a 15-year-old and an 11-year-old, suffering from gunshot wounds. Sadly, the 15-year-old did not make it and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after this harrowing incident, the police were called to another shooting, this time in the 2600 block of Poydras Street. Reports indicate that police received word of the shooting at 5:58 p.m., and it was confirmed at 6:17 p.m. When the officers arrived, they discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds. Tragically, one of the victims had already succumbed to their injuries.
