A few days ago, the head of Larian Studios, Swen Vincke, revealed that they had come to a compromise with Microsoft and would still release Baldur’s Gate III on the Xbox Series before the end of 2023.
However, there will be one caveat: the version of the game for the weak Xbox Series S console will be released without a split-screen mode.
What is known
Many users have decided that SplitScreen will never appear on the Series S, but according to Xbox representatives, they continue to work with Larian Studios on the implementation of this option, and it may still appear on these consoles some time after the release.
Baldur’s Gate III is available now on PC and is a huge success, with a release date for PlayStation 5 on September 6. An Xbox release date has yet to be announced.
