This Friday morning, the ticketing site of the World Puppet Festival experienced a traffic overload on its servers and crashed. The organizers would like to reassure the public by indicating that there are still places available.
This Friday, August 25, 2023, the ticket office of the Marionnette festival was unable to cope with the large attendance this morning, despite the warnings given to the service provider. The festival, which runs from September 16 to 24, has put 20,000 tickets up for sale. Festival organizers said the outage lasted an hour.
Organizers said they are doing everything possible to resolve this issue. The festival also clarified on Twitter that places are still available.
At around 12:45 p.m., the festival announced that the ticket office was back in operation. They found that “everyone was waiting for this date of August 25 and it showed up”.
This festival, which is also the international meeting place for puppeteers, has taken place every two years since 1961.
