Pokémon Go players who purchased a ticket for Go Fest 2023: Global were treated to new Special Research focusing on the Pokémon Diancie and Mega Rayquaza. On Saturday, players were able to embark on the Diancie Special Research, while on Sunday, they could begin the Mega Rayquaza Special Research.
For players who did not purchase the Go Fest ticket, a shorter Special Research set was available, rewarding a Meteorite. However, this set did not offer as many rewards as the paid research. To unlock the paid version, players must first complete the regular “Sky High” research. It’s worth noting that these Special Research tasks are not timed and are permanently available once unlocked, allowing players to take their time completing them.
To participate in the research, players had to purchase a Pokémon Go Fest 2023 pass for $14.99. If players did not purchase the pass, Diancie would be available to them at a later date, but they would have to wait.
