Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Famous Malayalam cinema editor KP Hariharaputran (79) passed away. He died at his home in Thiruvananthapuram. The cremation will take place today at Shanti Gate in Thaikkad. He traveled with Malayalam cinema for more than four decades and did the editing of eighty films including many superhits.
In 1971, directed by P. Bhaskaran, in ‘Vilakuvangi Veena’, editor K. Hariharaputra came to the cinema as Shankunni’s assistant. He became the associate editor of Shankunni in ‘Vithukali’ released in the same year. Hariharaputra’s debut film as an editor was in ‘Kalliangat Neeli’ which was released in 1979 under the direction of M.Krishnan Nair. Then worked with many famous directors.
Many of the most popular films of all time in Malayalam have been seen by Hariharaputra’s editing skills. April 18, Sukhamo Devi, Married in this, University, Let’s go to the cities and dance, Kalalpada, Empire, Generation, Chakoram, Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava, The Car, Superman, Punjabi House, Srikrishnapurame Nakshatrathilakam, Pandipada, Tenkashipatnam, Thomman and Sons, Mayavi, Vadakkumnathan, The main films are Chathikatha Chanthu and Chocolate. The last film is The Great Indian Road Movie.
