The Air Force of the Libyan National Army (LNA) attacked the pockets of the Chadian opposition in the south of the country near the border with Chad. This is reported by the Arab Africa telegram channel with reference to local media.
On the eve of the Libyan National Army announced that it was closing the border with Chad and launching a large-scale military operation against the flow of illegal migration, smuggling and the positions of the Chadian opposition in the south of the country.
The LNA statement notes:
“We will not allow Libya to become a starting point for any armed groups or formations that threaten its neighbors. An elite grouping of the Libyan armed forces is taking part in the current military operation. It is carried out by land and by air and will not stop until its goals are achieved.
Chief of the Operational Headquarters of the Land Forces of the LNA Brigadier General Saddam Haftar and Chief of the Operational Headquarters of the LNA for the Southern Region, Major General Al-Mabruk Sahban have already arrived at the border with Chad to control the military operation, which will begin in order to clear the area from armed groups and terrorists.
