The second day collection saw a 69 percent drop compared to the first day

Newcomer Abhilash Joshi’s Dulquer Salmaan film King of Kotta was released last day. The film collected Rs 6.6 crore from theaters on its first day. But it is reported that there was a huge drop in the collection on the second day.
Shane Nigam, Anthony Varghese and Neeraj Madha starrer action movie RDX and Nivin Pauly’s Ramachandra Bose hit the theaters which affected Dulquer’s collection.
Industry tracker Sacnik reports that the Dulquer film collected Rs 2 crore on its second day, Friday. Yesterday’s collection was Rs 1.7 crore for Malayalam and Rs 15 lakh each for Telugu and Tamil versions. The second day collection saw a 69 percent drop compared to the first day.
At the same time, it is reported that the film has collected 16.8 crore rupees globally so far. 8.5 crores out of this is from overseas release. Sacnik predicts a domestic collection of Rs 2.16 crore today (Saturday).
Meanwhile, 27.64 percent of the Malayalam audience who reached the theaters saw King of Kotha. Shabir Kallarakal, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Naila Usha, Chemban Vinod, Prasanna and Gokul Suresh are other actors in the film.
King of Kotta marks Dulquer’s comeback after a gap of one year. Before this, Dulquer’s last release was Salute. The film was released as an OTT release in early 2022.
