Inter Milan let go Joaquin Correa to Olympique Marseille. This increases the potential for Alexis Sanchez to return to the Giuseppe Meazza.
Marseille announced their acquisition of Correa on the club’s official social media. The former Lazio player was brought in on loan, but there is a purchase option.
According to some reports, Marseille has paid 2 million euros for a season’s loan. The French club will then pay another 10 million euros to make the move permanent.
That option becomes mandatory if the Marseille team manages to qualify for the Champions League at the end of this season. If redeemed, Correa will only spend two seasons playing at Inter Milan.
Correa’s arrival also strengthens Sanchez’s potential to return to Inter. The man from Chile is strengthening Marseille after leaving Milan.
According to reports by Fabrizio Romano, Sanchez is already in the city of Milan. He underwent medical tests at Inter Milan on Friday (25/8/2023) morning local time.
