Five surgeons from the Emergency County Hospital in Târgu Jiu announce that they will resign from the guards, starting from September, citing the lack of support from the management of the medical unit towards the doctor who operated on a hernia on the woman who was, in fact, pregnant in nine months. At the same time, they complain about the improper conditions in which the surgical activity is carried out in the hospital.

At the same time, they state that the emergency surgical activity is carried out in improper conditions, with a long waiting time for imaging investigations and analyses, that there is a lack of qualified personnel for the operating rooms, and that sometimes consultation is refused for some patients in the ATI , and they no longer want to take responsibility.
Doctors also cite the “media lynching” to which they could be subjected, “even when no harm is done to the patient, on the contrary, he is satisfied with the way he was treated, the fault being his”.
A woman who was actually nine months pregnant was diagnosed with a hernia at the Târgu Jiu Hospital and underwent surgery. The 35-year-old woman, who did not know she was pregnant and presented herself at the hospital complaining of abdominal pain, gave birth to a baby girl. The representatives of the hospital said that the eventration was real and that the operation was necessary, but also that the woman declared that she was not pregnant and that she was being treated with contraceptives.
The woman states that she did not know about the pregnancy either, as she was taking birth control pills and had her period during this time. She says she was shocked when she woke up after the operation and was told she had given birth to a girl. “I said: no, I have two little girls, I didn’t understand what… he said I gave birth to a little girl. I was shocked, impressed, how can I have a little girl, because I kept saying I had two, I didn’t realize. I have two twin girls at home”, she explains. (News.ro)
