Staying stationary, the Model’club of Thionville does not know how to do. On the other hand, moving up a gear is part of its habit and enthusiasts of small cars love it.
Once or twice a year, the members organize national thermal and electrical events and for decades, in the summer, as part of the Sports Tickets, children grab the lever and discover the discipline, even the young ladies… “We have welcomed fifty kids,” says the president.

On September 2 and 3, the Thionvilloise track will host 1/10th models and GT8s. “It will be the 3rd round of the French championship. From Friday, we will have free practice, on the weekend we will launch the competition from 8:30 a.m., specifies the president Christophe Maucci. We hope to attract 45 drivers from all categories. It will be just before the start of the school year, we don’t really know what to expect. »
The public is, as always, welcome. “We have planned a refreshment bar and snacks. This will be our only competition. »
A European round in sight
Because the Model’club is working on a major event, namely a European championship in 2024. “We will welcome the best pilots for a week, it will be 1/10th, we haven’t done it since 2012.”
