MEXICO CITY, August 24 (EL UNIVERSAL).- The American actress Nancy Frangione died at the age of 70, the soap opera star is remembered for her performance as the intriguing villain “Cecile de Pulignac” in NBC’s “Another World”, and for her participation in the endearing series “The Nanny”, where she played “Marsha”, the cousin of “Fran Fine”; She also had guest star roles on “Highway To Heaven”, “Matlock” and “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century”.

Her television debut was in the role of Tara Martin on ABC’s “All My Children,” which she played from 1977 to 1979. She then broke through as “Cecile de Poulignac” on “Another World,” from 1981 to 1984, winning Soap Opera Digest’s Outstanding Villain Award for her performance. She reprized the role several times over a 10-year period, from 1986 to 1996. In 1985, she replaced Andrea Evans as Tina Lord on ABC’s “One Life to Live,” notes “El Comercio.”

Frangione died on August 18 in Barnstable, Massachusetts, according to his obituary.
