O Botafogo sent a letter to conmebol requesting that the Defense and Justice review the price of tickets for alvinegra fans for the second leg of the quarterfinals of Copa Sudamericana, next Wednesday, at Florencio Sola Stadium, in Argentina. The information is from the newspaper “O Globo”.
As anticipated by FOGÃONET, Defensa y Justicia has set tickets for Botafogo fans at 20,000 Argentine pesos (about R$280 at the current official exchange rate). The value is eight times higher than the most expensive ticket for fans of the local club: 2,500 pesos (R$ 35).
According to the regulations of the Copa Sudamericana, the price of the visiting sector has to be the average of the tickets of the home team, which did not happen even close. The cheapest ticket for Defensa y Justicia fans, for members, is just 800 pesos (R$11).
Sales are already happening, through the website. The match will be at Banfield’s ground because Defensa y Justicia cannot use their stadium, Tito Tomaghello, as it does not have the minimum attendance capacity required by CONMEBOL. The first game, at Nilton Santos, was 1-1.
