Trump and his allies face criminal charges in Georgia for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

There are “serious concerns” about whether prosecutor Fani Willis may have acted for political reasons, according to a letter sent to her. The Republican Party has the majority in the House.

The letter was drafted by Republican Jim Jordan, Trump’s ally and chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. In it, he asks whether Willis coordinated the state-level investigation with the Justice Department and whether she used federal taxpayers’ money. Trump is also being prosecuted at a national level.
