136 minutes running time, over 100 extras, over 20 horses, 2 goats – “Tell – Jagd auf Ewig” is the largest film project that the Obwalden artist has ever mastered. A “mammoth project”, as he says himself. The film premiere on Wednesday evening in the Maxx cinema in Emmenbrücke was not just about the adversities that Wilhelm Tell, the legendary Swiss freedom fighter, faced in the face of pressure from Habsburg Austria. Luke Gasser, who also plays the tell himself, also drops a smaller bombshell.
