Xin Huainan suddenly found out that he was suffering from cancer in 2020. Various previous world travel plans had to be cancelled, and he went through a long and painful treatment. He is still troubled by the sequelae of radiotherapy. But he said positively and optimistically: “The important thing is what we have learned from having cancer,” and reminded everyone to pay attention to the warning signs of the body and not to ignore minor ailments.

Shen Yue graduated from the Department of Chemistry at National Taiwan University. She came to the United States to study at Caltech, and later engaged in biochemical research at UC Berkeley and Stanford University. Suffered from breast cancer in 1996, and has been actively involved in the anti-cancer and anti-cancer work of the Chinese since then. He used to be the president of the California Chinese Branch of the American Cancer Society, and the honorary president of the Global Alliance of Chinese Breast Cancer Patient Organizations. In 2013, he participated in the founding and has served the New Hope Chinese Cancer Care Foundation.

Shen Yue is optimistic and cheerful, laughing at herself that she is not a typical Beiyi female graduate. She faced the pain of cancer treatment with gratitude. With super empathy, devote yourself to the support of cancer patients and rescue charity.
