China has helped Russia in arranging fortifications in the occupied territories in Ukraine. This is evidenced by the nature of some trade agreements between the two countries, writes The Wall Street Journal.
The publication noted that in the first seven months of this year, the volume of bilateral trade between the countries increased by 36%. At the same time, the supplies contain a large amount of dual-use equipment that can be used for military purposes.

In a strange coincidence, Russia more than tripled its imports of Chinese backhoe loaders just as the Russian military began building up its defensive positions following the end of the fall counteroffensive by Ukraine’s armed forces.
“Chinese companies have allowed Russia to build fortifications in Ukraine. This is not a coincidence. A year ago, when the Russian military started to retreat, it really started to dig in,” said an unnamed senior fellow at the Atlantic Council.
In addition, the publication claims that during the full-scale invasion, China transferred to Russia a thousand unmanned aerial vehicles disguised as children’s toys, 6 helicopters, optical sights, titanium alloy products used in the manufacture of weapons, and aviation parts intended for the military aviation.
The Telegraph published the results of an investigation that tells how China is secretly helping Russia carry out its aggression against Ukraine. Sanctioned Russian firms producing military equipment have received tens of thousands of shipments from China. Beijing is supplying Russia with technology and equipment that is playing an increasingly important role in the war against Ukraine, according to US intelligence.
